"If My Body Could Speak is a collection of poetry for every woman. Ms. Baird confronts her eating disorder head on. Even though you may not have an eating disorder some aspects are relatively common. Many women struggle with the Internal struggle of maintaining a weight based on societal expectations, friend group expectations etc. Ms. Baird also speaks openly about sexual assault. She speaks to the fear women carry around about controlling and/or violent men. The best friend who rapes you, etc. It's a superb work."
